This patient had a dental underbite with spacing. A underbite is where the lower teeth protrude (stick out) further than the upper teeth. This type of bite can make it more difficult to chew and function. Treatment was done with 22 months of braces with no extraction of permanent teeth or surgery; the spaces were closed and the underbite was corrected. The before picture from the side will show the under bite best and the after shows that it was corrected and now the occlusion is correct and healthy.
